Caught this on sale. Very good price $199 so I though would give a try for my first build project. I emailed about 1 week after ordered to check on status, received prompt response from Customer Service when it was scheduled to ship, three weeks from order placement just as stated when I ordered. To my surprise I received it about a week earlier than promised. I had read all the good and bad opinions so I was bit uncertain about CBC. What I received was well packaged product free of damage. Further inspection revealed no markings or defects, or assembly issues. Finished the assembly of build project parts and took out for test run, I will have to say it functioned perfectly, and printed some decent 5 shot groups all well under 2″. I think its not too bad for iron sight and old eyes. Looking forward to getting optics mounted so can really see what kind of accuracy can achieve. So far very happy with my purchase and will be looking at CBC when the next project comes along.

Order Upper on 12/31/2016 and received it two weeks later. Just getting around to putting it on a Anderson lower, sloppy fit but put a wedge in to take care of wobbly fit. forgot to mention, this is my first built. Got to range today. Gun shoots great for a $400.00 gun. Looking for sale on another upper for the next built. Will be watching CBC for next built.

I’ve never assembled any gun parts before, but I’m pretty handy working on bicycles, and carpentry. I didn’t have any problem with this. You’ll need a torque wrench, AR 15 vice block to hold the lower steady while torqueing the barell, and I used a Snap-On adjustable crow foot 3/8″ wrench for torqueing the barrel to the receiver.

I wasn’t able to find assembly instructions on this site, but these 2 YouTube videos really helped: -This guys barrel nut was 1-3/16″ not 1-1/8″

I put it on a Palmetto Arms lower, and it fit perfectly, the black anodizing was a flawless match.

    other comments:
I believe the barrel nut to be 1-1/8″ but the machining only allows for a narrow wrench. Most inexpensive crows foot or adjustable wrenches won’t fit the width. 1-1/8″ size will mar the anodizing a little, since the fit is so exact, you have to work the wrench into place. I found the adjustable crows foot wrench by Snap-On to be an easier choice, and a little more forgiving. (although expensive, the Snap-On brand has a narrow footprint)
